This wine underwent malolactic fermentation which ensured a rich, bold Chardonnay with notes of confectious, pears, caramel, and vanilla. Additionally, this wine is 100% barrel-fermented, which allows an intense integration of oak notes. The boldness is further enhanced by being aged 9 months on 35% new French Oak. In the end, this wine is deserving of the El Gordo ("the big one") name.
